It is designed to cause hypothermia and vasoconstriction in the tissues, providing immediate relief to legs and ankles swollen due to poor circulation. By causing rapid cooling of the treated areas, it is particularly indicated in the presence of capillaries as well as being useful at any time of day to relieve heaviness in the legs and swelling of the feet. It is highly indicated for reducing the formation of edema and localized swelling.
