The Mandelic Complex line enables the professional beauty sector to work on multiple imperfections with products and acid concentrations hitherto exclusive to aesthetic medicine. Innovative formulations that are safe, effective and well tolerated by all skin types, particularly those phototypes more prone to severe reactions.

The entire line is formulated with a high percentage of Mandelic Acid, an Alpha Hydroxy Acid with 8 carbon atoms, derived from the hydrolysis of a Bitter Almond extract. Among the AHAs, it is by far the most tolerated as it acts effectively without causing burning or redness and is not photosensitising, allowing it to be used all year round, regardless of the customer's phototype, due to the absence of the risk of hyperpigmentation.

Thanks to the Medical-Aesthetic Peeling formulation with 50% Mandelic Acid, the Mandelic Complex treatment succeeds in eliminating the superficial layers of the skin by breaking the bond of the epidermal cells of the stratum corneum, helping to fill in wrinkles and expression lines. Among its many benefits, Mandelic Acid in fact repairs ageing skin, reduces stretch marks, brightens the complexion and accelerates cell turnover.

It possesses depigmentation and antibiotic properties such as to make it a product of choice in the treatment of noncystic inflammatory acne. It has ASTRINGENT properties, in that it causes an interaction with certain proteins of the stratum corneum (keratins), leading to changes in the tertiary structure and resulting in constriction of the stratum itself. This process prevents the formation and accumulation of sebum and thus allows it to be called sebum-regulating.

In the treatment of skin hyperpigmentation, due to its marked lightening effect, this line is extremely effective in correcting skin dyschromia related to photo-aging, melasma, chloasma and freckles.

Other acids present, such as Phytic, Glycolic, Pyruvic and Azelaic Acid, enhance the action of Mandelic Acid and make the Mandelic Complex treatment indispensable and extremely effective in treating the most stubborn skin imperfections.

MANDELIC ACID

Mandelic acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid with 8 carbon atoms, derived from the hydrolysis of a Bitter Almond extract. It is widely used in cosmetics because of its ability to gradually cause keratinocytes to detach, thus promoting epidermal renewal. Compared with glycolic acid, the mandelic acid molecule is larger in size and therefore less irritating, as it only acts on the superficial stratum corneum. It also has a pronounced antibacterial action and, as it has minimal lipophilicity, is able to penetrate the sebum of the hair ducts, disrupting them, and is therefore also indicated in the case of impure and acne-prone skin with blackheads and enlarged pores. It is particularly indicated in exfoliating and renewing, depigmenting and smoothing products and in treatments against wrinkles and scars. It is also very useful in cases of impure and acne-prone skin.

AZELAIC ACID

It acts as an antioxidant that protects the skin against premature ageing and is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate acne and rosacea. On the skin, Azelaic Acid acts as a gentle peeling that does not irritate it and leaves it soft and beautifully smooth.

PHYTIC ACID

Phytic Acid, an increasingly popular ingredient in beauty formulas, is known for its beneficial effects on skin and radiance. It is a natural acid with exfoliating and antioxidant properties, ideal for those wishing to improve skin texture and combat signs of ageing.

PYRUVIC ACID

It is a substance that, in an alcohol solution, has been used for years in dermo-cosmetology for the treatment of acne, hyper pigmentation and photoaging.
